About

Steps from the surf.
A house that faces the ocean.

EZO POINT is a small guesthouse at the tip of Cape Erimo — one of Hokkaido's most dramatic and least-visited coastlines. The house sits directly above a surf break. From the living room, you can watch the sets roll in.

We have four rooms, a living room with ocean view, and a small quiver of boards and wetsuits for guests to use. There's no concierge, no breakfast buffet, no lobby. Just a house, the sea, and whatever you came here for.

Erimo is also the trailhead for Mt. Apoi UNESCO Global Geopark — 20 minutes away, part of Hidaka-sanmyaku Erimo-Tokachi National Park, Japan's largest national park — and home to some of the best rock fishing on the Pacific coast. If you're here to hike or fish, you're in the right place too.
